Remembrance Day Parade, 2012
11 November, 2012
This year's Remembrance Sunday parade and service was held in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield. The parade formed at the lower gates of the park and set off at 10.40am, marching to the Memorial for a Service of Remembrance at 10.50am. Instead of the usual Armistice Day parade and a church service at St Peter’s, Huddersfield Parish Church, the two events were merged as November 11 fell on Sunday. More than 30 organisations formed a huge parade, from the Dunkirk Veterans’ Association to the Girl Guides and the Sea Cadets to the British Red Cross Society.
